Mission

Our mission is to train our graduates to become excellent ESL teachers. We aim that our graduates develop their ability to communicate well with their students, while being culturally sensitive. We believe that great teachers are aware of their student needs as well as how their teaching approach affects the classroom environment and learning.

Our objective is to help our graduates gain a rewarding, worthwhile, life changing experience overseas. Our goal is to empower people with knowledge, tools and skills, and encourage as much confidence as possible. We strive to assist our graduates to make the best out of their career in ESL and obtain their goals in the English teaching job market.

Our training philosophy models the language, culture and coaching skills that make up excellent ESL teachers. Great ESL teaching combines language instruction, cultural sensitivity and good communication skills. Coaching ESL students by providing encouragement, praise and feedback is central to good teaching.

How We Train You

Quality teachers plan upbeat, entertaining and interesting ESL lessons. How teachers run classes is considerably more valued by Placeholder students than what they teach. Our TESOL course coaches model the techniques which produce appealing and stimulating ESL classes:

Build good relations with students

Good teachers trust their students’ ability to learn. All of our TESOL coaches hold to this philosophy. Gestures, eye contact and other communication skills show care for everyone in the class. Students with questions are given the attention they need.

Breathe life into lessons

Great ESL teachers make their lessons interesting. Our coaches make the course interesting with personal stories about their own overseas teaching experiences. This training approach shows our students the realities of teaching and living overseas.

Student/trainer input

Effective ESL teachers give their students ample opportunity to contribute to the learning process. Our coaches use insightful activities through which our students discover how to be a great ESL teacher.

Speaking knowledgably

Students like an English teacher who they can relate well to. Our experienced coaches explain what’s really involved in living and teaching overseas. They know how to show you everything to need to know by using training techniques. For example, how to teach grammar is explained in a simple step by step way.

Sense of fairness

Good ESL teachers give their students clear expectations with no surprises. Our coaches take this approach throughout the TESOL course in order to model the most effective classroom management techniques.

Teachers who love their jobs

Our coaches do too. What does this mean? Well, imagine being in a class where the teacher tells fascinating ESL stories from personal experience, skillfully uses fun activities to encourage understanding and offers intriguing insight on teaching English overseas.
