Our TESOL / TEFL Course Coaches
Trudy Dean
My first experience with cultural awareness occurred when I was seven years old and my family moved to Heidelberg, Germany. During those years abroad, we visited many countries, and those experiences and adventures left an indelible impression upon me. My early years in Europe piqued my curiosity for the many things that the world and its people have to share, and I held onto the idea of exploring and learning as much as I possibly could about other places and cultures.
I later developed a strong appreciation for the English language and literature. I searched for a way to combine both my passion for travel and English. After obtaining a degree in English and a TESOL certification, I found a job teaching English as a second language in the Czech Republic. Shortly after arriving in Prague, I realized that my love of travel was matched only with my love for teaching.
