A good percentage of our students decide to work domestically and we assist them in finding employment in the United States at private language schools, community colleges, business English training and freelance tutoring. We assist in finding work domestically however, we only guarantee work overseas as the demand for ESL teachers abroad is substantially higher.

The demand for ESL teachers in community colleges is seasonal as there is an influx of students who come to the United States to learn English over the summer months. Most community colleges have a core ESL teaching staff which they supplement with temporary teachers over the peak season and usually keep on the better teachers permanently. Private tutoring as solid means of supplementing your income. You can expect to make $17-35 USD per hour by private tutoring. People of all ages, from children to adults, look to tutoring to improve their English. Parents recognize English as an important part of their children’s future. School graduates often look to score well on their TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) to continue higher education in America. Business people look for tutors’ assistance to communicate more effectively in the international language of commerce, English.
