General ESL
This course covers the essential ESL skills ranging from teaching pronunciation, listening, speaking, reading, writing and classroom management. However, we go beyond that by covering the specific needs of both students and employers and how to approach your teaching job in such a way that you can satisfy their needs. This practical emphasis on teaching goes beyond general teaching skills and looks at what to do and what not to do in order to excel at your ESL teaching job while you are overseas.
ESL students value fun and entertaining teachers. We model those qualities in the course by breathing life into the activities throughout the day so that our students can experience what it is like to receive lessons that are engaging and interesting. Frequently they report that the days fly by while spending their time practically teaching lessons and participating in fun activities.
Teaching practice is one of the major benefits of doing a live TESOL training course. You can experience what it is like to interact with students by standing in front of the class with a white board behind you and a marker in your hand. It allows you to know, first hand, how to handle various ESL teaching scenarios as you take part in exercises that simulate the classroom experience to be had overseas.
